Biography
Dr. Keivan Ahmadi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria (UVic). He earned his PhD from the University of Waterloo in 2012, followed by a postdoctoral position at the University of British Columbia’s Manufacturing Automation Lab. In 2014, Dr. Ahmadi joined Pratt and Whitney Canada’s Manufacturing Technology Development team as an industrial postdoctoral researcher. He joined UVic in 2015. His research interests lie in dynamics and vibrations, with a focus on machine tool vibrations and chatter.
