Andrew Katz

Mr. Andrew Katz holds an MASc in Mechanical Engineering (UW), trained through CANRIMT2. From 2017-2024, he was a Research Associate at UW (supervised by Erkorkmaz), where he developed new digital machining technologies and transferred them to companies like TME and P&WC. Katz is also knowledgeable in mechatronics, controls, multibody dynamics, sensors, actuators, signal processing, software engineering, and systems integration. He has experience in coordinating research projects and lab activities, commissioning complex lab equipment (e.g., CNC systems), advising graduate students on R&D activities, research reporting to CANRIMT, and conference organization.
